Went to AutoZone the other week for the check engine light. They told me that it was: P0752- 2 shift solenoid valve performance and P0700 - transmission control module. The light went off about 10 minutes after the diagnostic. But I still took it to my mechanic. He ran his test and nothing showed up for those. But the alternator was acting screwy. So I got that fixed. After I picked my car up the light was back on, went back to the mechanic. Test showed the same from AutoZone. My mechanic doesn't do transmission work and said it would be fine to drive around. The light went off and now is back on again. How major is this issue and about how much does it cost to get this repaired on the average? My uncle said it could just be a loose wire. How can I check for that before taking it to a shop?

Have had some transmission issues on Saturn late models, and visited with the GM dealer. Some of the problems or issues were repaired by the dealer under warranty. Might be worth a drive and ask them about it.
i financed my saturn outllok vehicle 2 weeks ago and took it back to the dealer and they are refusing this repair... heeeeeeelp ... this is not the way it should be, i ahve only had the vehicle 2 1/2 weeks. i am not going to go back up there and pick it up from them at all.... it picked up speed on my wife and kids and she almost had an accident
I bought the car used and paid for it in full from an individual, not from a dealership. And I did call the warranty department when I purchased it to see if there was any form of warranty left on it. You're attitude towards my response is uncalled for. Don't assume people just haven't done something or don't want to do something. If it was under warranty I would have it fixed using the warranty, I'm not stupid when it comes to money.
Let me apologize, not to say you're stupid; I had 2 here this last year and they were bought used. Had the same issue on both and they were cracked internally, and were repaired for no cost. Sorry I was pursistant about it, was just trying to express I know what happened with 2 others.
It's not under warranty. I wish it was though.
Did you ask, didn't think the others were, but they were fixed as no cost repair. Guess your mind is made up sorry I mentioned it. Go ahead and pay for something that might not cost you. Sorry you asked and sorry I answered. Like I said Might be worth a drive and ask!
