Replaced clutch fan, then still ran hot and busted radiator. Replaced radiator

From both replies, sounds like I need to bleed system . We did bleed it once we replaced the radiator and t-stat. I read somewhere else that I need to park car on slight hill and make sure heater is running wide open while bleeding system. Any thoughts on best way to bleed system to get air out ? Park on slight hill, run heater wide open?????

I had planned on doing what you said, loosen hose and make sure it is full. All I was asking was would it help to park the car on a slight hill and do I need to run the heater while doing so. Or I could just do WHATEVER. I'm asking for help and opinions, but I'm not trying to be rude. Thanks

I don't know anything about parking on a slight hill, and the heater core should fill on it's own. Many people say a lot of things and get people so nervous about doing anything is why I said whatever. you can listen to them if you want. The ones that require the heater to run wide open are the ones with a stand alone electric pump that you run without running the engine. That is how you bleed the system on those. Yours is not that way being a '97 model. I wasn't trying to be rude as well but what do you do when you're giving the information and someone comes back with something new, I would have given you that information if it was pertinent to help you. You're welcome. P.S. You might have to do it more then once. And fill the hose with coolant, not the radiator.
