Thats some friend you got there!.... Was the oil that was drained out red in color? .. Is engine oil level way over full now??
5.7 Quarts with Filter change, well,no filter change, maybe little under 5 quarts over full!Good Gracious of Life! never will get a reply back on this one.i hope the transmission and engine ain't dead.hope he not hurt friend!
True story: My sister had a 71 VW bug with the *Auto-Stick* transmission.. Took it to a shop for oil change... A worker drained the engine oil BUT added the new oil back into the transmission. Ruined engine and transmission both!!.. Now that's making money... Felt sorry for the shop owner but hey, my sister didn't know what the heck was going on until it stopped on the highway.. The old VW beetle got a little bitty oil light so she didn't even see it until it was too late... It made it about 4 miles before it locked up!.. New engine & transmission and back on the road.. The shop owner was a friend that had just opened up a new shop and had a couple kids working for him... Tough one!! .... When got the time, Google VW autostick trans and check Wikipedia... pretty slick how they worked... Until you had to work on one!
yeap i will do that.i remember them, kinda.my dad use to work at VW,salesman.they could drive about any car home.i think they called them demo's.been a long time ago.seems like he may have let me drive one.for some reason i think i remember you had to let off the gas a little when changing, maybe,i'll have to think a little more?till next oil change...
In the kids defense though, it did have a big fill tube cap with a dip stick for trans fluid but it had ATF ONLY written all over it.. Stuff happens!.. I hope the person that posted the question at least reads this page!
