try this.i think your engine is a 2.0L and not a 1.8L,correct?
theres a huge ground screw on the top of the transmission.. its 1 of the main grounds of the car.. it often corrodes with grime, and also with grease.try to clean once a year or so.. just undo the bolt.. take a steel brush just brush the transmission cover where the wire bolts on with the bolt.. ull see nice shiny metal again.. reconnect the wire and bolt.. done.. takes a min to do this.. and will prevent any shutting off of electrical components to a bad ground.. again.. like i said.. it corrodes extremely easily.
