What is your question?
My Solara has 30.000 miles on it. Normally it will shift into 5th gear when it reaches about 35 mph. Then the tach will drop to about 1600 rpm. recently it will not do this until it has been driven for a warm-up period of about 5 to 8 minutes. I have checked the transmission fluid level and it shows above the high mark on the stick when hot or when cold. Could this be the problem??

Check it with the engine running, if it is to full it could cause airration and cause the fluid to foam.
I checked with the engine running, parking brake on, with selector in drive, engine normal temperature. The dip stick showed fluid level about .35" above the highest mark on the dip stick. Fluid was clear red with no indication of foam. Do you suggest I remove some of the fluid?

There should be lower fluid at cols engine allowing it to expand when it gets hotter, and you won't see the foam if that's what it's doing, unless you put in a clear window, Lol. That's what I have to do when I have my head up my ---, Then I put a window in my belly so I can still see what I'm doing. Sorry got busy, but made it back.
I need the name of your doctor.
