hard black plastic rod coming from side of driver seat

What is your question?

I went to retrieve money I had dropped between console and driver's seat. This rod was in my way.Should I be worried about the seat giving way? There have been no recalls.

Got a reply though didn't I....the seat frame is metal...run it by Haley's and let 'Danny' from the service dept. look at it....yeah, that's right i know some people!!!
