The rear hatch door will not stay up in the open position

there are shocks that hold up the rear hatch door, this may be faulty and not holding up the rear hatch

DECK LID STRUTS ARE POSS BAD,REPL EVERY 5 YRS

Broom handle cut to proper length. Unless you loose it, works every time. Jeff Foxworthy swares by it! But then I ........might be a redneck.
