press the throttle it will go but if I push it down any more than just a little bit it bogs down. especially at low rpm's. it ran fine when I parked it after work then the first cold morning when I started it and immediately I knew something was wrong

Try a new fuel filter and check the old one for any sign of water! Check engine light on?

Make sure the vane airflow meter's door springs open and closed, have seen these go bad.
Ok thanks. Ive been researching all day and didn't get to far but we will see. Happy holidays thanks. I've put dry gas its more than a filter i thought it was clogged when it started running bad i put it back where its supposed to be and no change I got a fuel pressure regulator from the junk yard I'm gonna try.. I really appreciate the help guys any info ifs helpful.
Do you hear a rattle on start-up? How many miles on timing chain? That's just a thought.........I agree with bmdoubles' idea about the mass air flow meter, make sure ALL air intake hoses are correctly hooked up. Any air leak will cause faulty reading for fuel control.
I don't notice a rattle. And the timing chain i have no clue. I brought it to the mechanic and said please check my timing thsy didn't check noda. Its got a brand new mass a.f.s. This happen over night it ran fine when i parked then that night it got real cold it tried toto go to high idle for warm up as usual. Then started to run like shut right away. I know my water pump is bad. I got one for 15 bucks on parts geek.com best prices ever, but maybe the o2 sensor? Its got a small power range around 3 grand. But only if i barfly touch the throttle and feather it. Like when warming up a 4 stroke.if i throttle it, it dogs bad. And thanks gg and pushrod but the fuel filter ifs not the problem i promise u that. Thank you for you input though. I adjusted the timing and its running much better but i don't wands go to far and damage any thing. But a valve on top of the motor isn't working right i cleaned it out. it has a wire that goes to the pcm or ecm and the vacuum goes to the fuel pressure censor. I think that's the problem. Does any one have any info that can help me out.? I would appreciate it. Professor G, any input?
I forgot to mention. I put a new fuel filter on also. 4 months ago it went and when i replaced it i mounted it on the fender and it was running rich. I realized it needed to be mounted in its original position on the side of the engine block to warm the fuel to burn better during combustion so i put 2 new ones on lol. I have a new water pump cause i know that is going bad and the voltage regulator has been bad for a year so I'm about to replace both tonight. But they been going bad for ever. I'm dumb founded . I wanna lite this thing on fire. Last night i could barely get it to start. After i put the new coolant temp sensor in it had less power!!!?????!
