Made sure hand break is down all the way and checked the break fluid which is full

Turn key on,, watch that light closely,, pull up park brake and see if it gets just a tiny bit brighter....if it does there is a problem with the master cylinder or other service brake componets. If it stays the same there is a problem with the park brake switch!!!,,,LOOK CLOSE and try the park brake lever as many times as it takes to see what i mean!! Old school trick!! Post results...
Speaking of old school....unplug the float switch from the master cylinder is another way to confirm the area of problem. If light goes off , there's a possibility the float is stuck , or defective. Check pushrods advice FIRST , his bulb burns a little brighter than mine, if ya know what I mean.............
