Are electronic window parts compatible back to front?

Thank you so much...the info you provided was very helpful. Not fixed yet though...Tapping the motor didn't work.I was going to check the fuse first but couldn't figure out which one it is. The diagram on the lid of the fuse box didn't say "windows", so I am lost on this. My son is going to take the whole thing apart & try to figure it out. Thanks again!

If it were a fuse the windows would not work at all,... it's not a fuse!! ..... Did you pull the door panel off the drivers side????? Have son test for voltage at the motor!!
