THE MANIFOLD IS GETTING BRIIGHT RED AND NOW WONT START WHAT COULD BE WRONG?

Suspect exhaust restriction, possible cat. converter, engine timing problem. In any event need to have a mechanic check it out!----?----Tow truck.
