why don't brake light in bumper area only not to work? tried bulb,fuse, relay

Brake lights!! The light in my back window works but my two main brake light don't. I have replaced bulbs, tried fuses, even tried new relay. Can anyone help me??

Have you tested power and ground going to the third brake lamp?

Test for battery voltage at the *brake light* switch mounted under dash next to pedal arm... Should have voltage going in and voltage comming out with pedal depressed... post test results for there is more testing that needs to be done! .. **Is it stick or auto transmission?**

Find the broken wire in the harness along the rear. Third brake light works- confirms switch operation in most cases(?). next would be a COMMON failed ground or power to BOTH side lamps. On that model , are the park/brake/signal all the same bulb? Or any combination of two?
