ANYONE heard of a voltmeter ? That might help trace down where the loss of contact/power is in the circuit? OH , and I AM an idiot ...so take it for what it's worth.
That's in the dash ...right?
I'm an idiot , I don't know...........
I didn't call anybody an idiot. I said I am not a total idiot pull the bug out your ass. I don't have a loss in power though I have 12v at the switches.
if you have power at the switches coming in is there power coming out if so check for a bad ground.....
Don't take the usage of the word 'idiot' to seriously here! We all have those moments! We're just trying to help & sometimes since we aren't the 'hands on' person , we might perceive info a little different and lead things in the wrong direction. I call it 'help-o-tainment'.
nice recovery ziptie...
Bs...... He is n idiot.... Everybody knows the volt meter is in the dash!..... Oh wait..... Maybe he meant one of them other kind..? HelI I might be an idiot!!... Guess we all must be, we on here answering questions!!... Or something kinda like that...... Did we ever help this person out?... I can't tell!
I dont know I lost track but Ive done all I can do
Yeah I know what ya mean.
Thanks guys,I stumbled on to here looking for something else but was entertained by the banter so I joined the site.
Welcome!!... It is entertaining for sure....... sometimes, usefully informative too!!!
Got exactly the same problems on my 2001 Montana van. Did you finally resolve the issues?
I got a 99 Montana the ac button, CIG lighter, door locks, and interior lights won't work no power either side no broken wires, hell if I know, but I am about to be an idiot and burn the S.O.B. to the ground like lol
well im not a total idiot. i have gone through both fuse boxes. and nothing is blown or loose
did you check the fuses with a test light or am I the idiot?
yes. and to be on the safe side i even checked al the fuses with an ohms meter
if you have power at the fuses then you probably have a broken wire somewhere.I would go on U tube to see if you can get a wiring diagram to see if they all run on the same circuit and I would also check to see if you have a good ground....
