Security system won't let me start the car

Have mechanic do a simple VATS by-pass .. Then ain't got to worry with 'security system' any-more!

the wires inside the column bad to break to the key cylinder will cause this.replacing the key cylinder should fix it,if that's the problem. you could try the spare key,see if it works.

Cycle your keyless remote a few times to see if that resets it. If not, try this: make sure all your doors are closed. Then work the locks with the key itself several times. Lock and unlock the driver's door several times. The goal is to reset the security circuit.
