air conditioner is shooting air to the defrost vents but not air vents on vehicle. possible cause

look and listen for a vacuum leak under the hood and near the controls under the dash with the car running(hissing sounds),and hope it's not a mode door bad/broken.

Electrical .. Push button switched .. Control unit > actuator > mode baffle/door > wiring.. Repair is usually beyond DIY capabilities.
