Most likely the engine is out of time! Did you do the work? IF so, were the 'colored' links on the chain's CORRECTLY aligned with the corresponding marks on the gears? That's both upper and lower timing sets! Any unusual noise when cranking the engine over now? IF you are positive the timing chains/gears are in time, "possible" bent valves resulting from the broken chain.

How's the oil pressure when cranking? Does the oil light go out? Do you have NO compression or LOW compression?
