Loud metallic bang in rear when going over bumps

Sounds like rear strut(s) or strut mounting componets may be your problem! Will have to be removed to check! Good mechanic should find anything that is visible with car on a lift.

poss strut insulators on top of strut

check your wheel bearings..if they are bad sometimes when d shocks extends it can cause a banging noise
