2000 mitsubishi galant 2.4, heater not blowing hot, heater core ok I think..both

The cause of the problem.............

You have an actuator problem, it is not opening to allow the heat to enter heater core. Did you used to hear a small fringing sound!?!? MitsubishisuxX! They made the sprocket inside small and of plastic so it gets screwed up. You need to pull it and fix/replace it( $$$). There was a nice write up on a previous site. Not up anymore. It's located on front passenger side behind the radio consul. I believe you could pull the cable and just keep it open so hat the coolant flows thru it constantly.... Will be warmer in the summer...so just close it then. Good luck and post back with some pics:))
