Yes, I hade taken off the plenum to replace spark plugs and one ignition coil. before I reinstalled it I cleaned all the seal surfaces and checked the seals for indents, folds and other possible issues as well as all hoses and electronic connectors. I feel confident about my service and it ran perfect for a couple of days until the fuel issue. I was thinking of using a test light on the fuel pump relay under hood just to see by chance there was no electric problem. when I start it up it runs fine for about 30 sec and starts to die, if I take my foot of the pedal it will stay running until I touch the gas pedal. Frustration level Is also high as my good vehicle now has a radiator leak. Ugh!
fuel pressure should read at 29-30 PSI. A new fuel pressure sensor ($80) should solve this problem I also suggest cleaning the throttle body, MAF sensor and idle air control unit.
my thoughts were that its the fuel pump so today I dropped it and put a pressure gage right on the pump and hot wired direct and the pressure read 16psi at initial start up then dropped to around 10 or 12psi so asking mechanics kept me looking in other directions. I suppose that the fuel pump I bought was bad what do you think? guess I have to spend more money I don't have.

Is the check engine light on?
yes I plan on renting a scan tool but my level of experience will still leave me at a disadvantage on what to do or what to actually replace.
before you buy parts , post the codes you get. See if we can help.
p0191 and fuel pressure primes to 20psi then when started slowly drops to 2psi until engine stall.
Trouble shoot the fuel pressure issue first. Leak , regulator or pump. Test pressure key on -engine off and post results.
here seems to be no vacuum leak, as far as the regulator and pump how can I test them? and where is the regulator on this model? Hello! anybody home?
