Apparently some of the automakers are using wiring which is insulated with a soy byproduct. They seem to be aiming to be more 'green'. This is a very common problem and may actually be covered by your insurance. Give them a call before you spend any money on the problem.

yes,that would be true.many automakers have moved to biodegradable, soy-based wiring insulation in the past 10 years,and that is just plain stupid!
