Trunk opens only with mechanical key, but will not open remotely.

Dear "the Truth" saw your problem about MB trunk that would only open with mechanical key and not remote or inside driver's door release. What was the solution that worked? Was it the trunk lock actuator? And what did you have to do to reprogram key remote?

Sorry i haven't really gotten to fixing the trunk yet as i had other things to tackle with and besides the car; but promise to update as soon as i do. PLEASE do update if and when you find solutions. THANKS.
