What is your question?
Several months ago, auto. trans. fluid began disappearing. Our mechanic and a trans. shop have checked. No leaks found. Any ideas?

It is either leaking into the radiator due to a failed internal cooler or it is leaking out while driving... That's all it can be.. Transmissions do not consume fluid!!
Your post says 'several months ago' , exactly how much fluid and over how many miles and time are we talking? NOT that I'll be able to help , but the more specific you can be , the easier it is to rule out certain things. Any dye or 'leak-trace' powder used?
1 quart in 3 months with 200 miles driven. No dye or powder has been used at this point! Thanks!
Was the fluid level checked under the EXACT same conditions? temp. and level parking spot?............No more ammo here either-good luck!
we're talking a quart plus low and checking it on nearly level ground. If and when we find out where it's going, I'll report it here FYI! Thanks for the suggestions!
Thanks for the replies and good luck.
vacuum modulator? does the car have trouble shifting when cold? a failed modulator can cause ATF to be sucked up the vacuum hose and into the intake, where it will be burned in the combustion engine = no leaks but fluid disappearing.
Thanks for your reply. We checked the radiator, no sign of red in the antifreeze and no oily sheen. No spots on the driveway that show red. Checked the solenoid vacuum line on the trans housing. Dry! Checked the sump pan, no red! Checked the cooler lines to radiator connection, dry! Checked the valve body vent cover, the rear seal, and shifter rod seal, all dry. Any other suggestions?
Na... I'm out of ammo!
Yep, me, my mechanic, and my trans. man also! I'm going to run it in the driveway for an hour and see if there is a drop of red anywhere! Thanks for trying!
