a/c makes high pitched sound
What is your question?
only for a short time when turned on after sitting for a period of time, or overnight. The belts Look Good, mechanic advised they did not need replacement yet???

Tighten ALL belts. More likely the alternator belt as alt. is under more load to recharge the battery from cranking the engine after sitting for an extended time! Battery is getting a little weak i bet ya! It will show up soon, may be awhile, just dont leave anything on for long without the eng. running.
