is the clutch spinning on the end of the compressor when you turn the A/C on? does it cycle on and off real fast? have you tried adding freon?

It just stays on.I have no idea where to look for that and no I haven't tried freon yet.

Does the little light on the a/c switch still come on when a/c is turned on?

IF light is on and not blinking .. It's likely not a DIY repair, suggest visit repair shop.
