Good point!.. ..However Toyota uses timing belts too!.. When the timing belt breaks on an interference engine, the damage is already done!.. ... Valve to piston contact occurs instantly as the engine rotates a few times before it actually stops... By that time, trying to start it really doesn't matter... The real problem is an **interference engine** to start with! All timing belt equipped engines are not that way...and don't need to be!
