Check your controls for your RH drive to the left hand controls. Sometimes the controls are mounted close to the wiring under dash. If you have factory RH controls, must be a bad connection somewhere. (hard to find without checking it). Use the locator on this web site for a repair facility near you.
Same mail box every time? Just joking! For the clock to loose memory when this occurs, power to/from the fuse panel has to be intermittently and momentarily interrupted!! Just like removing the battery cable or the fuse! That might help narrow it down a little bit. Maybe, just random thoughts. Does the engine stall as well?
yes loses all power have to cut key off and restart. all wiring and connections been checked, showing no problems.
It is going to have to do this for a mechanic so he can test it before cycling the key again! That is just how it is if a wiggle test of the wiring doesn't help pinpoint the trouble.
factory right hand drive. all electrical been checked by certified jeep mechanic, checks fine. throwing no codes, loses power as if you cut the switch off. will restart as soon as you cut key off and resart.
If you can turn key off and restart, sounds like an ignition switch problem. Don't know any other bad connection. Another connection would seem to need repaired before the ignition switch would work. Just trying a thought.
