What is your question?
After repairing leak engine starts ,but is skipping terribly and will not run past 40 mph. I've read that when this happens sometimes the valve sets drop . Question is where are the valve sets?

how long was it driven after finding out it was over heating?
Valve 'seats' are located 'under' the cylinder heads .. Cylinder head removal required to inspect valve seats and assess the amount of internal engine damage .. I have found it's usually the # 6 exhaust valve (on rear passenger side) .. Aluminum cylinder head *when overheated* expands more rapidly that the metal valve seat, this allows the seat to drop out of the head holding valve open .. Dislodged valve rocker arm and/or no compression are positive indications of valve seat failure .. See > 2002 Jeep Liberty Problems on this page.
Valve seats have dropped on drivers side .Taking head off now . Thanks for the info
Be best to do both of em while you're at it.
