Used transmission placed in my old 2004 Rodeo. Looking at a ballpark as to how much I will pay for labor.

Estimator for your zip, top of this page. . Ok i see from another post this has already been done once lately, how much was labor then? Reason for asking is the Estimator is just what it says, an Estimate or a rough guess and may not reflect what else was actually done, if you are looking for a comparison!
auto or stick?
auto
approx 10 hrs labor for complete trans and transfer case r&r
thank you...
The car is at a transmission shop still. A rebuilt tranny for this car was not available. I agreed to have the transmission replaced with a used transmission with 60K miles on it. The technician says the it shifts fine and the codes are gone but they cannot get the 4wd to engage. They used my old transfer case for the 4wd, that was working fine 2 days before I brought it into the shop. They think the TCM may be the issue and that they may have mis-wired it and don't know how to get it to work. So basically I now have a 2wd SUV worth $1200 less than a 4wd on a trade in for a new car. I am trying to figure out what would be a fair price to pay them for the "repair" so I can get my car out of there. What would the 60K miles tranny be worth and how many hours labor would it take to take the tranny out and reinstall the used one? I am not willing to pay for the original quoted price that involved a rebuilt fully functional tranny.
I understand what you are saying, however that is between you and the shop, i can't put a price on another shops work, sorry. I feel sure some fair price can be reached! Crap happens, unfortunately!
Would you be able to say how many hours it would take to do the job?
