What is your question?
I replaced a battery six weeks ago. Sometimes car is dead after sitting all night, and gearshift is locked. No lights on panel, nothing. Battery and alternator check out fine. When jump started, car will run fine, although the alarm will go off sometimes when the car is shut off?

Have it checked for a power draw. Something is drawing the battery down after shutdown.
check your battery terminals are good and tight and not moving or jiggle loose clean them too. when i had a trans am it did the same thing i would jerk the ground terminal up to tighten it and found that i need to replace my terminal bolt some times it is the simplest thing start simple then go more technical
Is this a test an auto parts store can run to avoid charges?
If there's a counter person there that was a mechanic maybe, but not likely have the equip or time to do the test. Usually install meter to battery cable and read the amp draw, then determen what circuit, or plural, it is coming from. You could ask them but ?????
Advance Auto and others will run a check on the electrical system for free. That is how I checked the battery and alternator. I just was wondering if a place like that would have the ability to perform the test mentioned.
Ask and see if. They will usually check to see if you need a battery or alternator, but this test is completely different. Never hurts to ask
Thanks!
