My fuel gauge goes up and down. It goes from 1/2 to 3/4 fuel.

What is your question?

I'm not sure why. Tonight I drove it and had 1/2 half tank of gas and when I got home the gas gauge moved up to 3/4 fuel. What could be the problem, and how much to fix it? Thanks.
