don't know what's covered in your warranty.are emissions components covered?po106 is map sensor code.it really don't mean that sensor is bad,but maybe.it's kind of a starting point.it could be several things or one or two things. you may have went to autozone and had the code read, and first thing that pops up is,map sensor bad.most of the time they try and sell you that $80.00 sensor.you put it on,and not fixed.turns out it was a $2.00 vacuum hose split.(example)well they did their job, they sold you a part.thats what they do is sell parts.read your warranty to see what is covered.good luck.
Well initially what I did was buy some thorttle body cleaner and cleaned the throttle body. After that it took a few cranks and then it ran correctly. After driving it around for a few miles the check engine light came on. Cleared the code twice now and it keeps coming back. RPM's fluctuate as when I am in drive it idles quickly above 1500. Doesn't drop below that and as I put it in neutral it revs between 1500 and 2500. Breaks also become hard and doesn't respond normally. Feels like it's hard and doesnt stop. Weird that it would be affecting the breaking system. Thoughts??? Can I just clean the Barometric Sensor??
on the map sensor.i don't think cleaning it will help.it sounds like you have brake booster problem also.do you here any air leaking in engine area anywhere?with the car off, pump the brake pedal 5 or 6 times, hold it,keep foot on brake, crank it up.what happens? and also, before you start replacing things, find out what is covered in your warranty,so you don't throw money away.
