NO TIMING BELT ON YOUR VEHICLE!IT HAS A CHAIN,REQUIRES NO SERVICE!SHOULD LAST THE LIFE OF THE ENGINE,OR LONGER!
if the chain(s)/belt(s) breaks then YES! pistons smack the valves and its bye-bye motor. these are inside the engine, there are "other" belts that turn pullies on the outside of engine that can break without doing to much damage the engine at first, but cause damage nonetheless. there are also guides that wear out on timing chains these can cause timing issuses.
