What is your question?
I own a Nissan Sentra 2001 and Honda CRV 1999. Both have been stalling due to CKP sensors and I have replaced them before I came across your informative articals.

As far as the Honda , there is only 1 recall pertaining to a stall issue , and that is #02-031 , for the ignition switch. Check with local dealer or post VIN# here and I can see if it applies to yours. Is the speedometer primary in miles or kilometers?...As far as the nissan , sorry , I can't help.
**I don't get it!!!...at all!!!!!... Will the vehicle start and run?????**
Thanks for the response. The speedometer is in kilometers. My question was whether these recalls apply only for the American cars and not Canadian. There was a time when I inquired about this with the Honda Canada and I was told there was no such recall here in Canada. I certainly have this problem and I could go about changing the switch myself but then I am sure the OEM replacement switch pertaining to fixing the problem would be pricy since it would be specially designed to have better contacts. And again I do not know where this switch can be purchased like from Amazon or Ebay or another and again if it would be the right kind. Thanks.
You're probably being told correctly. I know 'Honda America' does not warranty Canadian made(for manufacture and sale in Canada) cars here. I went through that with a Civic that was brought down here and had trouble with the daytime running lights , which at the time of that model year , wasn't available on ours , so we couldn't even get a part # for it. I would however , recommend getting the ignition switch(if you choose to try that) at the dealer. It should just be the electrical portion , so you don't need to worry about keys or the immobilizer system being affected. It's not to difficult if your okay at trim removal , specifically around the steering column and under drivers dash.
Well, thanks for you reply. I will not waste time calling about the recall as I did and got the same response. I had a while back removed a switch from the wreckers (it was a good exercise at what I obstacles I would face) and it was quite easy, but no difference after changing. I have purchased a new switch from Amazon and hope to see if it will solve half the current problem -- the other being the P0335 code. Thanks again.
Did you replace the distributor in the CR-V , or something else?
No. Just for curiosity I took the car to Honda service and asked for the the scan test to be done as I was told the generic code readers do not give the full faults. Oddly enough I got the same faults as my cheap code reader indicated -- p0335, and you can believe it was a waste of the $150.00. They also told me the catalytic converter needed changing and this was from their visual. This I found absurd as I had to do an emission test for my road license renewal and it passed without faults ( here in Ontario they do OBD II testing). You might wonder how I passed the emission with the p0335 fault but then this fault only shows up after the car has driven over 100kms. Somehow with my observation I feel that the ignition switch is connected with this fault and I intend putting a new one as soon as I get the one I have ordered. Besides that as for your question I have not done any other repairs to the crv --- only the ceased propeller shaft universal bearings.
The crank sensor is inside the distributor on that.
