Is there anyway to improve the brake performance, like aftermarket parts?

Original equipment (Honda) parts inclu. brake pads are the best you can put on your 'stock' Civic. This is if the entire brake system is operating as it should! That's what needs to be tested. There are high performance brake systems available but are more 'race track' oriented, also fairly expensive! Driving habits and conditions play a major role in brake system performance.
