What is your question?
I have an odd difficult problem. As of late, the car has been difficult to start. When I turn the key in the ignition, the car sputters (the same sound that when your car is on and you turn the key further in the ignition) and sometimes will not start, but everything lights up. Sometimes it will take 10 minutes of doing this before the car starts. Sometimes there's no wait at all. Key will turn all the way, sometimes with just the sputtering and then starting, sometimes just the sputtering and other times just starts right away. When it start, there's no delay or slow clicking noise at all. I'll be bringing this to the dealer on Wednesday for an airbag recall and will be mentioning the problem (obviously), but i was curious if anyone else has encountered this problem or is familar with this, and if so, if anyone knows what kind of ballpark I'm looking at to get this fixed. Thanks!

you're right again, pushrod.never seen that before.but i liked the David Letterman videos after the accord switch videos better!
I'll have to check that out.... I actually miss that old fart!! .... Only reason I knew anything about that starter problem is I had one in shop couple weeks ago, you could turn key to start, hear buzzing and at that time actually shake//wiggle key and starter would engage...or quickly flip the key to start... New one on me too!.. Tried the relay of course but switch fixed it.. Got to be the same deal on this one I'd say.... from the discription of how it's doing anyway... Guess we'll never know!.. People are a strange animal..
This is the EXACT problem I have. it would start and then sometimes I'd just get that noise, exactly as it's shown in the video. THanks so much! i'm going to tackle this later on today.
Ignition Starter Switch $ 49.50 /ea **Part Number: KS6830** Product Line: NAPA Echlin Ignition Parts Also available @ Zone or Advance .. I'm sure. .. Take your time ... It takes longer than the guy in video said!! .. I found that video for you just as a confirmation reference here...
So I researched the part and found CARQUEST by IntermotorIgnition Switch Part No CS830, that (thankfully) my local Advanced Auto Part store had in stock for $46.92. My friend who's a mechanic stopped by and I showed him the videos you showed me. In a half an hour, he had it replaced and the car works without any buzzing or issues. It's been perfect since 10am this morning. Thank you!
Would you have taken my advice on what the problem WAS and fixed your car 'without' seeing the video?? U Welcome
very good.and a reply back.Advance bought out Carquest!
well.... I spoke to soon. since yesterday, i've started the car numerous times even from the off position and it worked flawlessly, no buzzing, no delay in starting it etc. It acted like there was no problem. I went out a few times last night and this morning. Just now, I went to the car and nothing is happening. Everything turns on, but it's silent. There's not even a clicking noise. I should note this also happened yesterday too inbetween the buzzing issues and even when it started. Could it be the switch AND the starter? I've experienced when a starter was dying before and now it gives off a slow crank before turning the engine over until it eventually just results in clicking. It just seems odd that everything worked perfectly over the past 24 hours without any issues and now... nothing
You've most likely killed the battery by starting it so much and not letting it run or driving it so the charging system could recharge it... Have it jump started and for good measure, have battery and alternator tested.. Get mechanic friend to help jump start!!!
Just tried jumping it and nothing. Everything comes on still but it's just silence. I have a mechanic friend coming over to test it for a possible blown fuse.
