YOU CAN RECHARGE WITH A/C DYE AND INSP AFTER A WEEK OR GET A DIAG. SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT A EVAP CORE LEAK.

Put freon in with dye. Make sure you replace the correct amount

Was the floor getting wet with water? If so , then the evaporator drain tube is clogged or the flap is sticking shut (if it has one) you can get at it from under the car.
