Common failure on these LS engines due to water intrusion! .. Below is a link to a video showing it being done: https://youtu.be/9kcLNY13ryE As you will see in the video, there are two knock sensors UNDER the *intake manifold*.. Use ACDelco parts only!

Hi TC1957: The KS is found on either right side or left side on engine block sometimes there's two of them. There are a number of reasons why you would get a KS code that said my encouragement would be to take your vehicle to a certified shop to confirm what the problem may be.
