how to replace water temp sending unit?

It's in the driver side head between the exhaust ports. Take the pressure off the cooling system, Use a socket and unscrew it and replace it.

If that dont fix it have it scanned to check engine temperature in live data, if low reading there also, it is a thermostat problem even with good heater output! Check engine light been on?

poss thermostat is stuck open?
