Are you talking about the tie rod for the steering, that's the only one i know of but i can't see how it was installed backwards! Did you loose the steering?

IT CAN'T BE INSTALLED BACKWARDS. COST TO REPAIR IS APPROX 250.00 INCL ALIGNMENT

Maybe his mechanic is Houdini! I can't even fathom how one could be installed backwards. Only possibility is he came up from underneath and put the nut on top I guess! Even that would be difficult! LOL!
