What is your question?
I used the four wheel drive to get out of a parking lot where the snow was deep enough to get me stuck in two wheel drive. The transfer case shifted manually as it usually does, the indicator on the shift lever indicated four wheel drive and the four wheel drive worked. I shifted into high range two wheel drive when I was mobile, and the indicator went out. The next morning, when I shifted into four wheel drive the transfer case shifted but the indicator never came on and the four wheel drive did not engage. The transfer case is shifting because when I put it in neutral, the truck does not move when I put it in gear. Something is not engaging the drive axle. What should I check. I already checked the 4X$ 25 amp fuse. It is not blown.

If it went into 4wd in high and actually was in 4wd, then you should be able to move even it the front drive shaft was removed. If needs to be scanned with a Tech2 scan tool, I don't think your transfer case is locked in 4wd. OK manual shift, disregard scan.
Neither do I. It is in two wheel drive. It worked normally the last time I used it, including shifting out of four wheel drive. It just won't shift back in now.
I don't think so....but I haven't been under the truck to have a look...I had to go over a small snowdrift but I don't think it even scraped the bottom of the axles never mind getting near the linkage. It was way too wet to get under for a look at anything, and I just got the truck home last night late.
Ensure your linkage is good. Have seen them hang up. and changed fluid, and they shifted easier but in your case it already stuck. While underneath you could try moving by hand or wrench to try and loosen shifter arms, might have to jack rear end or un bolt driveline.
Since the transfer case is manual shift it is most likely ok. The transfer case selector switch OR the front axle actuator are most likely the suspects! If it were on a lift, is front driveshaft turning when shifted to 4 wd???
Thanks for your help. There are a couple of actuators, I discovered...one on the back of the transfer case, which I jumped with a wire, and which didn't help, but two soelenoids on the front axle, one of which wasn't engaging....seized right up somehow. I gather all three have to work to make the system show it is operational. All fixed...plus I found fuel line leak when I was under the truck so I averted another cockup in the process. Thanks again. Harvey
I don't know where MN is, but I'm thinking Minnesota....could be wrong, but I'm further north than that...Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada. Thanks again eh??
That's just what was posted in your question, however all the more reason to have a 4x4 ,eh?
manual shift lever on the floor with 2H, 4H, Neutral and 4L positions. There is a indicator at the front of the shift box showing whether the front axle is engaged. That normally lights up when the four wheel drive engages. It doesn't light up and the four wheel drive does not engage even though the transfer case apparently shifts. As I said, the transfer case is shifting because it goes into neutral and when I try to shift into 2H after, the gears grind a bit.
