someone "helping" me on the 91 tempo mixed up the starter solenoid wiring...can

you should have a small wire and a large wire.hook the small wire to the smaller terminal and the large wire coming from the battery to the large terminal with nothing else hooked to it,the large terminal on the top of the solenoid.

If you mean the 'fender mounted' solenoid next to the battery, then the big lug/terminal closest to the battery is where the battery cable and any other big terminal wires hook up to.. The big lug/terminal furthest from the battery is where the starter cable ONLY hooks up to.. The small slip-on wire terminal slips onto the small stud, that should be obvious!
