my car stalled while I was driving(approx 35mph) restarted briefly.turns over ok

id go ahead and change the filter either way. while your doing this, before you put the line back on, take a container, put it under the fuel line, turn the key to turn the radio, fan, etc on but dont crank it. do it pretty quick, about a full second. if fuel came out, the pump works.

Check for tripped inertia switch first thing!! .. Look in owners manual for > fuel pump cut off switch .. Google inertia switch. .. If switch ok.. Reply for more advice.
