I need to replace it due to miss firing problems that code readers can't detect, and programers can't fix!Is it located under the hood ,or in the front interior area?

You would be making a mistake replacing the ECM without proper testing!! That's the least likely cause for a misfire on this vehicle/engine!!! ..It's more likely the.. Coil pack..Plug wire(s).. Plug(s)..Injector(s)..Compression..Possible head gasket leaking coolant into cylinder(s)!! Ford computers are very reliable!!!
I have replaced the coil pack, wires, plugs, rebuilt the engine, and no one in three garages, including mine, can get a code to show up.It could be the cam shaft syncronizer assy ,as it will not show up on the analyzer either,or give a code on this engine, this is my next check...I understand Fords are good for these kind of problems...also injectors and system purge, fuel may help....Thanks for your reply,it is very logical and possible.SuperBoss PHD Aerospace Engineer No one knows every answer,so,that is why this site is good,to get different experiences and ideas !
