is there some product I can dump in the oil to see if it seals?

It's not the oil that is the problem. It's the air that is being sucked into the engine because the seals to prevent it from doing so are bad. The excess air going into the engine, other than the intake port, is read by the O2 sensor telling the computer it is getting more air then gas and can't compensate for it. Get a spray bottle with water and let engine idle while spraying good amounts of water around the intake to see if the engine changes the rpm's. This will verify if it is leaking, if so the gaskets/O-rings will need to be replaced for proper operation.
