IF fuel pump is not working: Don't forget about the inertia switch (fuel pump cut off).... Sitting in front passenger seat, this switch is at the 'top' of the kick panel that's next to your right foot, push button to reset..TIP for easy testing: **IF battery voltage is present at this switch** w/key on ..FORGET about the fuse or relay..They are ok!! .. Suspect failed fuel pump/module..
In the Power Distribution Box ( which is " live " ) located in the engine compartment on the drivers side( mini fuse # 9 is a 20 amp fuse for the fuel pump relay and RAP module )You can view the 1999 Ford Explorer owners manual online at :www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces )Click on Owner Guides( the fuses and relays section starts on page 179 )
