My Explorer sways left and right when driving why?

Not sure what you mean, but if the steering is "wandering", you need an alignment, at least, and there may be some parts needing replacement. Go to an alignment shop to have it checked out.

You mean vehicle rocking side to side? I'd check the sway bar links starting with the front. My explorer did the same thing. The front seat bar link bushings were gone!
