won't go into park auto trans. could it be parking pawl? does the transmission

Check the park netural switch just behind the linkage.They have had some problems with this part. Good idea to check out the linkage. Under car at the left side of transmission is where i would start looking. Remember the linkage goes from the shifter to the tranny.

this maybe a cable issue then tend to come loose from the housing, have someone shift the car while u watch cable under car

Press the floor brake down. Put key in and take key out. Put in neutral and start. See instructions in hand book for vehicle.
