I have already tried to help with this vehicle in question twice, to no avail and without a reply to needed information .. Good luck with the outcome!!
IF you want help with this problem,REPLY back to answer #1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> i have seen several different questions posted about this fuel pump and pushrod tried to help you with it,but you seem not to reply back to him! now you mention the purge valve? forget about the purge valve! when you have helper turn key to ON,NOT START the fuel pump fuse sends power to the fuel pump relay, then from that relay to the inertia switch, then from inertia switch to fuel pump connector.this is when the pump primes for TWO SECONDS ONLY,then it cuts off.you will have to watch your meter very close,2 seconds is fast! every time key is turned from off to on,you should hear the pump come on for two seconds and cuts off.then when the key is turned to the crank/start position, when the computer sees RPM the engine starts and the pump runs again and stays running until you turn the key off again! so what is the problem?
Problem is there is no power going to point of fuel pump. Power to everything. Could it be a bad ignition
which 2 of the 4 wires are you checking? 2 of them are for the sender(fuel gauge)? and when the key is turned to on,you can't hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds and then cut off? if none of this checks out, pull the fuel pump relay out of the socket.using a paper clip jump pin 30 to pin 87 and turn the key on,then check the voltage at the fuel pump connector.i believe hot wire is pink/blk and the blk is ground.that should give you constant battery voltage.
I was checking the 2 wires on the pigtail going to the inertia switch. I don't have power from that cylinder tube that is located left of spare tire to the fuel pump. I'm sorry but trying to figure this out for my mechanic just don't exactly know the terms yet.
The pump has power when hooked direct but when we installing pump there is no power from pigtail to pump the part that is to left of spare tire (which I think it's called circulating assembly or canister) going from there to fuel pumps there is no power. Don't hear the pump at all when trying to start vehicle
I did reply to you and again there is no power at the pigtail of fuel pump
