my 1999 expedition 4.6 l sometimes will start and sometime it will not. it has over 180,000 miles and this seems to be an on going problem with these vehicles what is the problem?

They good vehicles, 4.6 done proved itself! .. Now some of the later engines have too but still got a ways to go yet, I think.. Always been partial to GM but got to give credit where it's due!! .. I've owned a few Fords, nary a complaint on any of em! Just need to know which models to buy, from any of the makers ... Some of em are just better than others.. No matter who makes them or where they made.. Guess we have a bit of an advantage after working on about ALL of em though .. Part that I can't understand is why people just go buy something without doing a little research on it like, asking somebody that works on various makes and models about it.. Ask a *mechanic* what kind of vehicles they own ! Not the dude at Jiffy Lube or Walmart, somebody that actually works on vehicles..and 'been doing' it for a living! .. There's some junk out there that I don't even like to have to take for a TEST DRIVE.. I got a list!

i would bet 100,000 to 1 that Subaru is on that list,if not the first i'd say it's on your list!and these people kill me that have bought these Mercedes and BMW's just to keep up with the "Jones' es"THEN they have to have them worked on!! then they ---- all of their self when they find out how much it cost to work on em!! Oh,i could have waited a while to hear Walmart!! i went in there last night,just for a few things.not many folks in there.then i hear over intercom"EVERYONE THAT CAN RUN A CASH REGISTER COME TO THE FRONT",didn't really think much about it.i got one more thing to get and i'm outta here.i go to the front to check out at the self check out,wrong,27 people in line? i looked at all the other registers,people lined up at 18 registers? i said WTF?they ain't got this many open at Christmas?.then i took a second look,all kids? TWO TOUR BUSES OF Ithaca College STUDENTS from NEW YORK on their way to Miami for spring break! just HAPPENED to stop for a cold drink and a candy bar and grapes? the manager was flipping! all self check out register were CARD ONLY,i took cash!AIN'T THAT B---H!!

That's funny as hell... That sounds like my kind of luck! I'll have to tell the boss here bout that one... You right on the money on the list so far! .. Buy that junk then cry like a baby when you give em the bill or explain what's needed & it's right often too!
