How long does it take for the trouble code to go off after replacing temp sensor

What is your question?

I have checked all fuses and replaced both sensors that are next to each other and the sensor plugs look to be fine and the trouble code is still showing up. Code P0113

I've been told that this same code that says a problem with temp sensor can also mean a problem may exist with the MAF sensor or dirty air filter - its not the filter and the MAF sensor looks clean and shiny - I'm trying to get car inspected to get tags on it - so I can't drive it on road - should I just unhook battery to clear and let codes go through cycle again - I have been jacking up the front end and putting it in drive to set the readiness codes since I can't drive on road yet - what do you think?
